Provision of Production Services:

StudiosIf sound stage space is required we can check availability or pencil studio space in any of the main studios: Ardmore Studios, Ashford Studios, Troy Studios. We are tracking the development of new studio space as these projects progress.

Crew:  We maintain a list of active HODs currently working in Ireland. We can recommend crew at an early stage of the project, check availability of crew on an ongoing basis, and book them once the project is at an advanced stage.

Production management:  We can hire Line Producers/Production Managers/First ADs to draft budgets and schedules which not only will help clarify expected Irish spend, but will also give a good indication as to what funds to expect from S481. We can explore post-production options if applicable.

Location servicesWe can arrange location scouting and recces to provide look-books for various types of locations such as contemporary urban, period London (or other regional cities such as Liverpool), forests, woods, lakes, hills, beaches, all within close proximity to Dublin.

Irish Tax Credit (Section 481): As a qualifying production company, ShinAwiL can provide access to S481 funding, managing the process from the application stage, through drawing down S481 funds, to the final audit and compliance reporting stages as required by the Irish Revenue.

  1. Tax credit is worth up to 32% of eligible spend, on up to 80% of the budget, capped at €70m per project. Spend includes all spend on labour and/or goods & services incurred in Ireland.
  2. Scheme open on rolling basis, all year round, with no cap on exchequer funds spent per annum. Current sunset 2024.
  3. ‘Early-day’ Payment available on financial closing of the project (including the condition that 68% of eligible expenditure is lodged to the production account).
