Biography

Andrew is an award winning producer with 17 years experience in film and television and video games. Andrew is a recipient of Advanced Imaging Society’s Lumiere award. His film and TV properties have sold to broadcasters in over 100 countries including Fox, Lifetime, Hallmark, UpTV, NBC Universal, TF1, Corus, including theatrical release. Before becoming a producer, Andrew was a director of photography and clients included IBM, Coors, Powerade, and Cirque du Solei. Andrew acts as virtual production supervisor for Northern Gateway Films’ LED volume. He’s worked with video game company Beamdog (owned by Bioware co-founder Trent Ostner) and created a new virtual production department to support and develop the creation of new IP and linear media products. In his younger days, Andrew also worked in theatre and dance as a stage manager on internationally touring productions.

Past films include, For the Love of Pasta (2021), Christmas with a Crown (2020), Christmas Cupcakes (2018) starring Erin Karpluk (Being Erica, Rookie Blue) & Cindy (The Big Year). Other films include 40 Below & Falling 3D (2015) starring Jewel Staite (Firefly, Serenity) 40 Below or A Frosty Affair for it’s USA release, their first feature film, Baby Blues (2008) had the the highest per-screen-average opening weekend in North American theatres; I Think I Do (2013) staring Mia Kirsher (Black Dahlia) and Sarah Canning (A Series of Unfortunate Events). These films have aired on Lifetime, Hallmark, UpTV, W Network, Super Channel and numerous other broadcasters in over 25 countries.

Northern Gateway Films expands their market by producing innovative media products with the latest technologies such as their XR LED volume which can bring incredible production value to their projects. As a creative producer on the touring immersive show ‘Lasting Impressions 3D’ Northern Gateway created the stereoscopic visuals which are displayed on a patented 70’ wide LED wall. The show is touring in the USA and will be presented in Canada by Paul Dupont-Hébert who brought ‘Imagine Van Gogh’ to North America. Northern Gateway has also produced a 3D IMAX version of the show which is being distributed internationally by MacGillivray Freeman Films.
