Biography

Andres P. Galicia is a Mexican-Canadian cinematographer, producer, and founder and CEO of Toronto-based Cordillera Collective, with a career spanning narrative, documentary, commercial, and virtual production.

A visual storyteller with a strong technical background, Andres has developed particular expertise in virtual production and Unreal Engine workflows, combining emerging production technologies with a cinematographer’s approach to lighting, composition, and narrative. His philosophy centers on using technology in service of story, integrating virtual production when it can expand creative possibilities, increase production flexibility, or solve complex logistical challenges.

His credits span projects for international platforms, broadcasters, brands, and organizations, including HBO Max, MTV, Google, Real Madrid, Amazon Prime Video, and Claro Video. His documentary work includes Beyond Access, Chief Evolution Officer, Nace Vive Revive Latino, and the ongoing Chasing Kat and Mouse.

Andres studied Communications at Universidad Iberoamericana and has continued his cinematography training through programs with the Canadian Society of Cinematographers, including dramatic lighting and virtual production training with Pixomondo. He is also the creator and host of CSC Audio Files, a podcast of the Canadian Society of Cinematographers.

Through Cordillera Collective, Andres brings together multicultural creative talent, cinematic craft, and innovative production technologies to develop agile, visually ambitious work for Canadian and international audiences.
