Biography

Beat Lenherr is a film producer who focuses particularly on storytelling. Very often intrinsic and personally motivated themes and protagonists characterize his projects. Already in the development phase of his films, Beat relies on a digital and cross-media approach that incorporates the most diverse digital touchpoints from announcement to exploitation. Beat draws on his experience as a specialist in audiovisual communication, with which he also advises various companies in the online, digital and advertising sectors.
Beat began film making after his studies at the University of Zurich as a cameraman, travelling the world. In parallel he built up his own post-production company in Switzerland working on documentaries, fictional formats, commercials and commissioned films. As chief film editor he won several national and international awards. Alongside the success of his post-production company, Beat started to develop his own projects as a producer and director, primarily in the documentary field.
In 2003 Beat founded PANIMAGE GmbH specializing in the development, creation and production of documentaries, series, corporate films, commercials, e-learning platforms and commissioned productions.
In 2015 he developed the first horizontal crime series for Swiss television WILDER which he then co-produced together with Peter Reichenbach. Again in parallel to the development of this series, Beat co-founded a digital agency. With this company, he developed a customized digital campaign, which began before the start of the series and provided exciting additional content for a large audience throughout the broadcast. Subsequently, WILDER became a huge success and broke all viewer records in Switzerland running over 4 seasons from 2017 to 2022.
