Regularly faced with this challenge that all commercial producers have to address, Malta member Alon Hattingh found a solution that not only helps his business, but supports other producers in his network.
As a producer and owner of Rock Productions in Malta, Alon often found it challenging and time-consuming to find the right director for a campaign. In April 2015 he launched Director’s Den as a solution to this frustrating problem.
“There is no website on the market that has been created from a producer’s point of view when looking for such a key crew member as a Director,” says Alon. “This manages to create a simple interface to a complex database”.
A worldwide database of directors for the advertising industry, Director’s Den is tailored to match directors and clients based on any number of specifications. Producers can search for directors by posting a brief on a job board, or by browsing the international database of director profiles. Alon’s goal is to make this the go-to source to find professional advertising/tv directors. From the director’s standpoint, joining this database will undoubtedly help them reach the right clientele and broaden exposure. There is also a job section, so it’s good for directors to come back and see the site from time to time.
As the database of directors grows, Alon will begin marketing to all interested agencies, brands and production companies.
